Bertha noticed that a sweet woman and friend hadn't been to church in several weeks. This young mother and her husband have a 4 year old daughter who was born handicapped. Life was not easy for any of them, but things have become even more difficult lately when the young mother started experiencing pain and weakness in her legs.
Their young daughter, unable to walk, spent her days lying on a small mattress or strapped to a small, broken wooden chair that was not made for her condition. In order to go anywhere, the mother would have to walk with her young daughter strapped to her back. Now, with the pain, weakness, and swelling, the mother was unable to carry her daughter to women's gatherings and church.
Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them.
If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say,“Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.” Proverbs 3:27-28
